I am just a (semi) normal Mum and Wife…although those that know me might say that I’m a bit bonkers at times. However, nothing could’ve prepared me for the moment on January 26th 2017 when I fell down the stairs whilst carrying a basket full of laundry and hearing the sound of my ankle snap.
The next few weeks will see me operating on 50 percent leg power, so I thought that I’d share my journey. Can’t promise it will be entertaining all the time – but you never know.
One thing I should mention is that I’m well aware some of my posts may sound really lame, self-pitying and selfish. But I don’t want this blog not to be real. I want to share how I’m feeling, warts and all.
I also know there are people in a lot worse a situation that what I am – and if you’re in that situation where you’ve got plates, pins and frames adorning your body, then for what it’s worth you have every ounce of my admiration. I’ve escaped the hardware, certainly for now anyway.
I need to strenuously point out that I have no medical training whatsoever, so you need to bear in mind that you are taking my blog at face value.
I do however have a diploma from the University of Life (my life anyway!)
